Great Wood Primary School is a successful, caring, small rural primary school in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Community is at the heart of what we hope our pupils recognise and understand.
Offering five classes full of amazing children and a wide range of after-school activities, including wrap-around provision. Great Wood Primary worked alongside The Moorlands Primary Federation for more than two years before officially joining the Multi-Academy Trust in September 2017.
Great Wood Primary School is extremely proud to have received commendations from the Minister of State for Schools, for being in the top 1% of schools, nationally based upon KS2 results, on three occasions. A wonderful achievement!
In February 2022, Ofsted judged us as continuing to be a 'GOOD' school.
